Abstract:
This paper provides commissioning case studies on two buildings that participated in SMUD’s Building Controls Retrocommissioning program—the Shriners Hospital and the Sacramento County Coroner and Crime Laboratory. Through the program, Shriners Hospital has effectively reduced annual energy use by approximately 18%, and the Coroner and Crime Lab decreased annual energy use by 38%. Included in the paper is a description of the process used to identify recommendations, a description of the recommended measures and a summary of implemented measures and results.
