The CEC-funded RCx Toolkit provides concrete tools to assist retrocommissioning practitioners in providing consistent, effective, and cost-efficient services. A set of newly-developed and peer-reviewed templates and sample documents have been published to the CCC website and are publicly available for use. These templates will allow commissioning leads to streamline their process and reduce report writing time while increasing information transfer to the owner’s team. The RCx Toolkit includes a checklist of preferred building characteristics, a building staff interview form, a comprehensive ongoing commissioning plan, and more. The tools are designed to complement the California Commissioning Guide for Existing Buildings.
In addition to the templates and sample documents, the complete Toolkit will include a number of spreadsheet tools that are currently under development and will be published in December, 2007.
